Into the Wild Blue Yonder

Hi ev1! Welcome to the first entry for our new series called “Manfred’s Travels”. Not to state the obvious, I’m Manfred and I like travelling! :-)

My main objective when I hit the road is to have fun and, hopefully, see how other parts of the world play bingo (or if they’re crazy enough not to play this awesome game, what other stuff do they do). Also, I really like going to see places that are a bit “out there” for the average North American dude. In the past (before we started this cool blog), I’ve checked out places like Brazil and Sweden but this time I’m heading out across the Pacific Ocean to…wait for it….ta da….Malaysia and India! Yup – I’m ready for everything and up for chaos! Woohoo!

K…so here I go – I’m sitting in the airport having just managed to check in and get rid of my pile of luggage (I’m soooo NOT an efficient packer). After all, you’ve gotta have room for at least 3 pairs of lederhosen! So far, everything is going to plan. In other words, the lineup at the check-in counter (oh wouldn’t it be nice to be able to go Business Class just once!) seemed to go on forever but, incredibly enough, I managed to get through in about 15 minutes. Check it out!

I’m pretty sure I got through really quickly because of my funky red suitcase and my yellow socks! I’m convinced airlines appreciate good fashion sense…:-) What do you think???

OK…I’d better shut down the laptop and head over to the gate ‘cuz there’d be nothing more embarrassing than missing my plane. Oh..I hope they have some good movies – this is a very loooong flight (13 hours to Shanghai – then another 5 to Kuala Lumpur). I’m hoping to check in from Shanghai if they have wi-fi in the airport. Man…I’m yawning already from just thinking about it! See y’all soon!
